In collaboration with The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis’ 60th Anniversary Season, July’s concept draws on how food became the main character itself, served as catalyst and motivator to story and actors alike. The countless ways food ~stole the show~.
Affairs begin over cocktails.
Families unravel over dinner.
Bread becomes mercy.
Cake becomes punishment.
Meat pies disguise murder.

CENTER STAGE moves through the world of theater by way of appetite — tracing the meals, kitchens, soirees, and food memories that quietly became central characters themselves.
